13, 14, 15 June - the Three Peaks
I’ll describe it in short here. The Three Peaks means the three highest peaks of the three highest mountains in Bulgaria. These are:
Rila - Musala (2925 m): First highest on the Balkan peninsula
Pirin - Vihren (2914 m): Third highest on the Balkan peninsula
Stara planina - Botev (2376 m)

This activity was planned by Ivan Ganev - a mountain gid, to check the preparation of a group, that was going to climb the volcanoes in Turkey (in fact they should already be on their way up now). But there were a couple of other people, preparing themselves for Mont Blanc, Elburs (guess who 
), etc higher level of mountaineering things.

7 June - bicycling
approx. 30 km. of bicycling for 1 hour and a half. Not bad avg. speed, overall warm-up distance.

30 may - some bicycling
I have about 35-36 km of bicycling this day. Will have to keep up with training. I feel better, my back is OK - so I shouldn’t get lazy. Elbrus is coming.

24, 25, 26 May - hiking through Stara Planina
We arrived in the early morning of 24th of May at the train station of Gabarevo. The group was from 9 people - 3 men and 6 women. We started the hike up to Sokolna hut at about 7-7:30 AM, but didn’t exactly rush to there. We stopped at a cherry tree garden - tried a few cherries. We stopped nearby a rose garden and enjoyed the flowers. That’s why we prolonged a 2-3 hour trip to a 5 hour one. Beautiful.

We got to the hut at noon. I’ll keep the rest of the day short - party, lunch, bath, party, music We got to bed at about 11 PM.
The next day I woke up earlier than the group, walked around, took some pictures (you can see all of them at my Google Picasa Albums).

Bicycling
Today… about 15 km at a mild pace of about 15-16 km/h (10-11 mph). This is my first “workout” for the last couple of days and I feel kind of OK…

Lower back problems….
You’ve probably noticed that the last couple of days was somewhat silent - well, that’s got a reason. I’ve had pains in my lower back and feared of the worst - discopathia. X-Ray pictures and other examinations showed that its some nerve that’s been cold (is this the proper explanation?). Now I’m on injections for a couple of days.

W.A.S.P. in Lovech, Bulgaria
Like the previous day (Twisted Sister) Sunday was a part of Lovech Party Fest. And W.A.S.P. were the grand stars, the final act of it. Blackie and company were something I was curious to see, although I admit, they are not amongst my personal favourites (love ‘em, don’t get me wrong, just not as much as Blind Guardian, for example). Well - it was totally worth it.
