Muriel was trying to translate my recipe for a traditional Bulgarian banitsa today – and in the end she finished with a beautiful illustration of the whole process. I want to share this one with you:

I’m adding this one to just remind myself. This day makes exactly four months since I gave up smoking. This time I think it will be constant

OKay, another short one. New Year’s trip. This year it was Istanbul. Me, Muriel and Moni – these were the three heroes left from all the wannabes
So we did it. Spent some marvelous days in Istanbul. Got to know the non-tourist Istanbul too. Got some bad experience with noise, street merchants and stuff. But in the end this was good. Istanbul still remains a favourite of mine.

It’s been exactly one month already. I remember a month ago when the host of Benkovski hut poured me a coffee. I instantly thought of a cigarette. Well – not anymore. I hope this time it will stay for longer. Stay healthy everyone.

It was a walk to remember. On this trip I gave up smoking (again). It was the first one with Muriel
. It was a tiring one (especially the second day). And yeah – the weather was just perfect.
I’m going to paste a Picasa Web Album link again – ~HERE~

Wooohooo. For the second time in my life I’m visiting an Iron Maiden show, and once more I’m convinced that they are one of the best band. There’s no such show, no such energy, and enthusiasm as they show on the scene.
Setlist:
- The Wicker Man
- Ghost of the Navigator
- Wrathchild
- El Dorado
- Dance of Death
- The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg
- These Colours Don’t Run
- Blood Brothers
- Wildest Dreams
- No More Lies
- Brave New World
- Fear Of The Dark
- Iron Maiden
Encore:
The Number of the Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Running Free

The support band were Dream Theater – another favorites of mine, but with extremely short set. Just 6 songs, three of which we missed queuing to enter. Anyways – I heard ‘Pull me under’. It still counts
Hey folks. Not having much time lately to drop by here. But thanks a lot to those of you sending me messages and keeping in touch. I want to share some new albums from USA trips:
1) I’ll start with the latest one – the Yosemite trip. ~HERE~ you can find a couple of pics from this two-day adventure with Bobi and Megi. Wonderful waterfalls, great picturesque rocks, beautiful nature. Dated June 5-6, 2010
2) The trip to the famous ’17 mile drive’ near Monterey, California. ~HERE~ is the short report from this closed circuit private property with many big houses, a great forest drive and closeness to the Pacific Ocean. Dated April 26th, 2010
3) The previous day I took my first trip to Santa Cruz over the scenic highway 1. ~HERE~ I took lots of short breaks to watch the ocean. Magnificent. Dated April 25th, 2010
4) The visit to the Danville museum of auto-history. ~HERE~ – many old good-looking cars, including my favourite there – Plymouth Fury, famous from the novell Christine, by Stephen King. Dated April 18th, 2010
5) My walk around the Mount Diablo park – ~HERE~. I got lost a little bit, taking a different trail than the one I originally wanted. In the end I had a good time around. Dated April 17th, 2010
6) My first visit around San Francisco – a city of so many layers. ~HERE~. Rumen and Toni were so great to take me around for a whole day trip and showed me many of the famous things in San Francisco. Dated March 20th, 2010
7) The pics from the flight Amsterdam-San Francisco. ~HERE~. There are not many of them, but I stayed awake during the whole flight, watching the views, drinking Heineken (thanks KLM) and enjoying every minute of it. Date March 15th, 2010
Well, not too bad. For a newbie in US this is pretty good. I hope I’ll have some more to show till I get back to Bulgaria. Stay healthy all!
